The former glass factory of Meisenthal (1711-1969), now a testament to the unusual combination of memory and modernity, invites visitors to discover the magic of a cultural heritage that has been enriched by contemporary art movements.
The GLASS MUSEUM testifies to the experiences of the region's glassmakers. The film presentation is supplemented by a guided tour through the exhibition "L'envers du décor" (Behind the Scenes), which grants insight into the techniques of art nouveau glasswork.
In the INTERNATIONAL GLASS CENTRE visitors discover the workshop of the glassblowers who explain their work, as well as special exhibitions and a museum shop.
In the GLASS HALL, a veritable industrial cathedral, exhibitions of contemporary artists as well as events are held throughout the year.
